Tanzania’s Beautiful North

Our Tanzania Wildlife and Cultural Safari mixes the very best of East Africa’s culture with Tanzania’s best wildlife. Enjoy this lodge safari as you explore the rich culture and stunning scenery that only Tanzania can offer, and visit world-famous places such as the Serengeti, the Ngorongoro Crater, Tarangire National Park and many more.

A small group camping safari with non participation through the northern parks of Tanzania is a must. Departing from Arusha, we will explore Tarangire National Park and try to find the elusive tree-climbing lions of Manyara National Park.

Of course, game drives and overnights in the Serengeti and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area are not to be missed, and bring you as close to nature as possible.

Departure

The Tanzania Wildlife and Cultural Explorer departs from the Moivaro Coffee Plantation Lodge in Arusha. When arriving in Arusha on day one, you will be picked up from the airport and transferred to your lodge. Should you arrive prior to day one, pre-tour accommodation can be arranged and you will be picked up from your hotel on the morning of day.

In the evening of first day of your safari, there will be a pre-departure meeting presented by your guide at your accommodation. It is imperative that all clients attend this meeting so as not to miss out on any critical information.

Whilst it is our every intention to adhere to the above-mentioned itinerary, there may, on occasion, be a necessity to make alterations in order to make the tour more enjoyable or practical.  Therefore, please treat the itinerary as a guide only.

Transport

Eyes on Adventure uses fully-equipped 12-seater 4 x 4 safari vehicles, Toyota Land Cruisers, or similarly appropriate vehicles that are fully customized. They boast comfortable seating, large windows for optimal game viewing, and a music system. The air-conditioned vehicles are equipped with pop-up roofs for the best game viewing. All luggage (apart from hand luggage and photographic equipment) is stored on the roof racks of the vehicle or in its trailer to ensure maximum comfort in the vehicle.

Traveling Times and Distances

All traveling times are affected by factors such as the condition of the roads, delays at border crossings, possible detours, and unpredictable weather conditions. Therefore, traveling times may sometimes be longer than anticipated, especially over longer distances.  Remember that traveling on rugged African roads generally takes longer than traveling on the tar roads of city centers. So, we encourage our guests to relax and savor the beauty of the African countryside.  Where possible, we will stop along the way to make your traveling more comfortable.

Accommodation

We make use of mid-range lodge accommodation for our accommodated safari packages. These facilities may be situated in national parks, on river banks, or in other places of particular interest; and will comprise a combination of lodges, chalets and permanent tented chalets with en-suite facilities. Some properties are equipped with swimming pools and/or bar areas.

Meals

Breakfast and dinner will be prepared by the lodge where you are staying. They will also prepare lunch or a lunch pack, depending on the itinerary for the day. Please advise us of any special dietary requirements in advance.

Visas

The onus is on the client to organize all visas required for a visit to Tanzania prior to departure.

Travel Insurance

Please note that travel and cancellation insurance is mandatory for every guest traveling with Eyes on Adventure. All insurance is solely the responsibility of our guests. Please ensure you arrange your own insurance with protection for the full duration of your journey to cover personal injury, damage and loss of personal items including, but not limited to, camera equipment and other electronic items, medical expenses, repatriation expenses and loss of luggage, etc... Please speak to your travel agent if you require assistance.
